Zelensky Denied Rumors About The Change Of The Head Of The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry

Andrei Sibiga will retain his post.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said Monday that he has no plans to fire Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.

According to "Ukrinform", he said this during a solemn event to celebrate the Day of Diplomatic Service Workers.

Zelensky said he was not going to "change Ukraine's Foreign Minister either today or tomorrow."

He added that Ukrainian officials and representatives of the Office of the President "work as a team," and he himself has great respect for the work of diplomats and the Foreign Ministry.

"So these are really just rumors from some deputies," Zelensky said.

Earlier MPs Alexei Honcharenko and Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that the first deputy of Sibiga Serhiy Kislitsa is allegedly planned to be appointed foreign minister.

In place of this Sibiga, according to these deputies, should head the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland.
