Citizens Of Belarus Were Evacuated From Sri Lanka

There's a cyclone raging out there.

After the devastating tropical cyclone, India evacuated dozens of affected people from the areas of Sri Lanka. Among the rescued were citizens of Belarus, writes The Economic Times.

It is reported that during the rescue operation helicopters of the Indian Air Force took out 57 people from Matale in the central province of Sri Lanka.

They included 10 children, as well as pregnant women and seriously injured. Citizens of Belarus, Sri Lanka, India, Germany, Slovenia, Britain, South Africa, Poland, Iran, Australia, Pakistan and Bangladesh are among those rescued. It is not specified exactly how many of our compatriots are among the rescued and in what condition they are.
