Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will meet with U.S. presidential special envoy Steve Whitkoff and the American president's son-in-law Jared Kushner in the Kremlin on Tuesday after 17:00 (Minsk time), the Kremlin said.

"After 17:00, the Russian-American meeting will begin. Putin will receive in the Kremlin Mr. Whitkoff, the chief negotiator on Ukrainian American affairs, who will arrive here. Jared Kushner will also be with him, and a conversation will take place," Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

The talks will last as long as necessary, he added.

The plane carrying Mr. Whitkoff is believed to have landed in Moscow, Interfax news agency reported, citing aviation services.
