The ship was bound for Georgia.

The tanker MIDVOLGA-2, traveling with a cargo of sunflower oil from Russia to Georgia, said it was attacked 80 miles off the Turkish coast. This was reported by the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs of the Turkish Ministry of Transport on December 2.

"The tanker MIDVOLGA-2, which was traveling with a cargo of sunflower oil from Russia to Georgia, reported that it was attacked 80 miles off our coast. There are no adverse effects on board the vessel with 13 crew members, and there are no requests for assistance. The vessel is on its own way to Sinop," the Main Directorate for Maritime Affairs said.

Reminder, two tankers from the Russian "shadow fleet" Kairos and Virat suffered explosions in the Black Sea near the Bosporus Strait on November 28, fires broke out on the vessels.
