Natalia Radina: Tikhanovskaya Was Also Unable To Say Whose Crimea Was Hers At First

That's something a lot of people have forgotten about.

Belarusians reacted negatively to the statements of former presidential candidate Viktor Babariko and the head of his staff Maria Kolesnikova, who failed to clearly answer questions about the belonging of Crimea and their position on Russia's war against Ukraine at a press conference in the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv on December 14. The editor-in-chief of the Charter97.org website Natalya Radina in a interview with the YouTube channel of well-known journalist Evgeny Kiselyov recalled that Svetlana Tikhanovskaya also had problems with a clear position on Ukraine:

- The 2020 revolution was truly popular. People came out and showed themselves as a European nation, Belarusians said they wanted freedom and democracy and independence for their country. Due to the fact that the real leaders of the revolution, who prepared it, were in prison, people like Babariko, Tikhanovskaya, Kolesnikova, who are unable to say whose Crimea is whose.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya also took quite a long time to formulate whose side she is on. "Whose Crimea?" - this question she also could not answer for a long time. And how much she appealed to Putin, calling him "wise" and urging him to pay his attention to the situation in Belarus. "Wise Moscow," "wise Putin." Watch the video, it was all there.

Evgeny Kiselyov asked whether the ambiguous position of Babariko and Tikhanovskaya could be connected with the fact that they are under someone's control. Natalia Radina gave several facts:

- In August 2025, we saw a movie that showed Svetlana Tikhanovskaya taking 15,000 euros from Major General Pavlyuchenko of the special services. Then she confirmed it. Isn't it a confirmation that she was controlled by the security services, when the KGB took her to Lithuania, and she recorded several videos - first from Belarus and then from Lithuania - where she urged the protesters to go home. Her entourage then tried to create the appearance that Svetlana Tihanovskaia was the president-elect and leader of the opposition. But the strategy they announced, holding rallies on Sundays, was aimed at draining the protest potential.

When it comes to Viktor Babariko, there are speculations that his son is being held hostage. However, I don't know how the answer to the question about Crimea will affect his son, who is in a Belarusian prison, and I think Lukashenko is indifferent to the answer to this question. Perhaps these are some "greetings" to his friends in Moscow. Perhaps he would like to return to Russia, perhaps he has some capital there.

Evgeny Kiselev recalled the scandal with the missing speaker of the so-called Coordinating Council Anzhelika Melnikova, who was also part of the delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), created by Svetlana Tikhanovskaya's office. Natalia Radina believes that such scandals are another proof that Tikhanovskaya's entourage is infiltrated by agents of Lukashenko's special services:

- Angelika Melnikova has turned out to be an agent of the Belarusian security services. She fled to Minsk with more than 150 thousand euros of grant money. This is another proof that these structures are penetrated by agents of special services, who imitate opposition activities abroad, use huge sums of money and drain the protest potential.

Luckily, the time of these people is passing. The eyes of Belarusians have already been opened and they understand perfectly well who is worth what.
