EU Approves €90 Billion Aid To Ukraine

The interest-free loan will have to be repaid only after the Russian Federation pays reparations.

The participants of the EU summit agreed to provide Ukraine with 90 billion euros during 2026-2027.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the president of the European Council Antonio Costi in social network X.

"We have an agreement. The decision to provide Ukraine with 90 billion euros of support for 2026-27 has been approved. We have made commitments, we have fulfilled them," Costa wrote.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz added that it would be an interest-free loan.

"This is a clear signal from Europe to Putin: this war is not worth it. We will freeze Russian assets until Russia compensates Ukraine for its losses," he said on social network X.

Mertz said Ukraine will have to repay the loan only after Russia pays reparations.
