Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine have recorded a video message to dictator Vladimir Putin on the eve of his "direct line". It will be held on Friday, December 19.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the video published by the public movement "Our Way Out".
In the appeal, the prisoners of war ask the head of the terrorist state why they are not being exchanged. Among the POWs who appear in the video are seriously wounded, sick, Muslims, "Akhmatovites," and a soldier who was captured for the second time.
In particular, POW Tkachuk said in the video appeal that he is now in a detention camp with thousands of prisoners.
He added that among the prisoners there are wounded and young people under 25 years old, and noted that despite the June 2, 2025 agreements on an "all-for-all" exchange in these categories, it has not been carried out completely.
"We are all waiting for Putin to exchange us. There is no patience," adds prisoner of war Mansur Elmurzaev.
Leader of the "Our Way Out" movement Irina Krinina expressed hope that Ukraine and Russia will conclude a peace agreement, the first point of which will be the exchange of prisoners of war in the "all for all" format.
What is known about the public movement "Our Way Out"
The public movement "Our Way Out" was founded by Russian women in Ukraine in late December 2023.
The organization helps families of Russians missing in the war in Ukraine to find their loved ones, as well as facilitates the registration of the status of "prisoner of war" in Russia, which gives the opportunity to get on the lists for the exchange.
In January 2024 in Ukraine, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the movement "Our Way Out" and the Ukrainian project "Want to Find".
The cooperation between the organizations helps to accelerate the exchange of prisoners of war: after receiving the status of "prisoner of war" in Russia, the prisoner is included in the lists for exchange, following the results of which Ukraine returns its defender or defender.
For its activities, the "Our Way Out" movement in Russia was given the status of "foreign agent".
