Andrei Voynich: This Is A Joyful And Exciting Event

Today, the heroes are starting to have a free life.

Coordinator of the civil campaign "European Belarus" Andrei Voynich commented on the release of 123 political prisoners:

- Congratulations to all those released and their families! This is a joyful and exciting event, especially since among the released there are such volatiles as Severynets, Belyatsky, Znak, Kolesnikova and Babariko.

I know firsthand what feelings not only the released, but also thousands of those who waited and worried for them every day.

The hardest part is over, and today the heroes begin their free life.

We should remind that Andrei Voynich spent almost five years in Lukashenko's prisons.

September 25, 2020, he and other activists of "European Belarus" were detained by law enforcement officers. Voynich was sentenced for "preparation for mass riots" to seven years in a penal colony.

September 11, 2025 he was released and forcibly deported to Lithuania together with other former prisoners of conscience.
