The 63-year-old Nobel laureate came out to people greeting him in Vilnius.
Today 123 people were released from Lukashenko's prisons at once. Among them is the head and founder of the human rights center "Viasna", Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski.
The 63-year-old Nobel laureate came out to the people welcoming him in Vilnius.
"They took me through the whole of Belarus blindfolded. And I was sitting near Gorki, 14 kilometers from the Russian border. I'm still dizzy," - said Ales Beliatski.
He said that he was demanded to write a petition for clemency. He refused.
And today they woke him up at 4 a.m. and ordered him to pack his things.
When asked about his award, he said:
"This Nobel Prize was given not only to me personally, but to all Belarusian activists and all the Belarusian people, who have been and are still fighting for democracy and human rights in Belarus. Although it is not easy and hard, through prisons, thousands of people have been and are still sitting in prisons.
