"Putin Will Try To "play" The "card" He Has Left."

The master of the Kremlin will not succeed in achieving his goals.

The Russian authorities are trying to frighten Ukrainians with "revival" in the Transnistrian region and provoke the Ukrainian Defense Forces to retaliate, but they will not succeed, explained Petr Chernik.

The AFU officer expressed his view on the situation with Transnistria on the air of the "Army TV" channel on Youtube.

- What goal do the Russians pursue first of all with the information throwing in? The good old truth: divide and conquer. We are approaching some kind of document. I have no doubt that there will be one. Later we will look at it in detail.

What do the Russians want? In their understanding, to improve their negotiating position. What card are they playing? First, to really throw as much fear as possible into Ukrainian society, because in their understanding, the more fear there is, the more pressure there will be from below on the Ukrainian government and the president to make decisions that are favorable to them, and in fact they are playing an even more complicated card," the military expert revealed the essence of the problem.

Chernik also drew attention to an important nuance:

- They really think that if they start all this, we will have to divert forces and resources, but in fact they would really like us to hit Transnistria in some way. Will that happen? No, it won't. Why? Transnistria is a sovereign territory of Moldova. There can't be any discussion here as a phenomenon.

"Will we have enough forces and means to filter out some small DRGs of at most ten people? Yes. Only we have enough border forces in that region. Will the Russians achieve their goal in this direction, i.e. to provoke our strike and sow panic and fear? They will not," the AFU officer summarized.
