U.S. Special Forces Boarded A Ship That Was Traveling From China To Iran

A military cargo has been seized.

Last month, a U.S. special operations group raided a ship in the Indian Ocean that was en route to Iran from China. A military cargo was seized.

The The Wall Street Journal quoted U.S. officials as saying.

The U.S. military boarded the ship several hundred miles off the coast of Sri Lanka. After the cargo was seized, the ship was allowed to continue on its route.

One official said the cargo consisted of components that could potentially be used for Iran's weapons production.

He added that the shipment had been destroyed.
