Keir Starmer: Brexit Has Hit The UK Economy Significantly
Keir Starmer

Britain's prime minister has called for strengthening London's cooperation with the EU.

Strengthening cooperation with the EU, abolishing border controls on plant and animal products and ensuring security in Europe. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer paid considerable attention to the relationship with the EU in his Budget speech.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer acknowledged that Brexit has caused significant damage to the UK economy. He emphasized that there is only one solution to reverse this trend.

"To achieve economic recovery, we must continue to reduce tensions. We must consistently seek a closer relationship with the EU, approach it in a mature way, understanding that it will require some compromises," Prime Minister Starmer stressed.

International commentators note that the British Prime Minister's words on cooperation with the EU are crucial as they come just days after the collapse of talks between London and Brussels on the European security program (Security Action for Europe). The dispute over the UK's participation in the €150 billion program centers around the amount the British will have to pay to join it.
