Ukraine Imposes Sanctions Against Rosneft And Lukoil

Details of the new sanctions package have become known.

Ukraine has imposed sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil, as well as Russians who organize the systematic destruction of Ukrainians by drones.

This is reported in Telegram by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"We continue sanctions work, today there are two new decisions. Ukraine has synchronized sanctions with the United States and imposed restrictions against Rosneft, its enterprises, as well as companies that are part of the Lukoil group," Zelensky said.

According to him, now sanctions against these companies are already tangibly depriving the Russian war machine of money, and this should be continued.

"Ukraine is also imposing sanctions against Russian murderers who organize the systematic destruction of Ukrainians by drones," the head of state added.

Zelensky also stressed that he also identified the key priorities of sanctions policy until the end of the year: further synchronization of sanctions with partners, preparation of the 20th EU sanctions package, strengthening restrictions against the shadow fleet, Russian military production, collaborators and propagandists.

Details of the new sanctions package

The Ukrainian president's website noted that Zelensky signed two decrees that put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. They concern the synchronization of sanctions with the United States and the imposition of restrictions against individuals and legal entities associated with the production and operation of Russian drones of various types.

So, as part of the package synchronized with the United States, Ukraine applied sanctions against 26 Russian legal entities associated with the energy sector.

The second decree imposed sanctions against 36 individuals and 13 legal entities associated with the production, training and operation of Russian drones. Among them are individuals involved in the activities of the Rubicon criminal center, which tests new weapons and participates in military operations against Ukraine.

The sanctions are also imposed against Russian companies involved in the development and production of reconnaissance and attack UAVs, FPV drones and unmanned aerial systems.
