Belarusians Will Have Four Consecutive Days Off In December

Belarusians Will Have Four Consecutive Days Off In December

But one of them will have to be worked off.

December 2025 prepares a small but very nice present for the residents of Belarus - four days off in a row. But, as it usually happens, it won't be free - one of the days will have to work on Saturday. The details told in the Ministry of Labor.

On Thursday, December 25, the country celebrates Catholic Christmas - an official day off. And so that the festive mood does not end too soon, Friday, December 26, will also be off.

Saturday and Sunday - by tradition - rest.

Total: 25, 26, 27 and 28 December - days off.

But one of them will have to work: Friday, December 26, moved to Saturday, December 20.

What if during this period you are on vacation?

If a vacation falls on December 26, you can rest easy on December 20 - the working Saturday in this case "does not count".

But if a person is on a business trip or in training, then Saturday, December 20, automatically becomes a working day.

What about New Year's Eve?

2026 will also start with a long weekend. January 1 and 2 fall on Thursday and Friday, so we will again have four consecutive days off.

The first working week will be short: January 7, Orthodox Christmas, is a day off.
