Lebanon Has Apprehended The Country's Biggest Drug Trafficker

He was detained by the Lebanese army.

In Lebanon, the army conducted an operation that resulted in the detention of Nuh Zaiter, known as the country's largest drug trafficker. This was reported by Lebanese TV channel Al Jadeed.

"Nuh Zaiter was detained by the Lebanese army in Baalbek as a result of a special operation," the channel reported.

Nuh Zaiter is known as one of the most dangerous and influential criminals in the country. He heads a large network involved in the production and illegal drug trade in the Bekaa Valley, located in eastern Lebanon. For a long time, Zeiter has successfully avoided arrest due to his control over armed groups and his influence in the region.

Some media outlets claimed that his activities are linked to various political forces. A Lebanese military court had previously sentenced Zeiter to life imprisonment in absentia for drug and arms trafficking as well as involvement in armed conflicts.
