German Police Searched For UFOs On The Czech Border

A mysterious object fell from the sky with a loud explosion.

The possible fall of an unknown flying object has sparked a wave of speculation in the Vogtland region of the German state of Saxony, on the border with Germany.

It was reported by MDR.

On Sunday evening, an eyewitness took video of a mysterious object falling from the sky with a loud explosion. Several more photos of the object were also taken and reported to local police.

Law enforcement officials began a search but called it off Monday. Police spokeswoman Christina Friedrich told MDR that "there is currently no point and it is not advisable to further expand the search area."

She said other services have not reported the object falling; there have been no known fires, disappearances or deaths as a result of the incident.

At the same time, police in Saxony believe the UFO video is genuine, so they are now checking to see if it is an astronomical object that came from outer space.
