On Friday evening, November 14, the motorcade of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance was involved in an accident. A police officer was injured in the accident.

According to ABC News.

According to the publication, the incident occurred in Maryville, Tennessee. That day, a police SUV from Vance's motorcade was involved in an accident while escorting the U.S. vice president.

As a result of the accident, police officer Justin Brown was seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery Saturday morning.

"We are immensely grateful to the people whose quick response saved Police Officer Brown's life last night. You are true heroes," Maryville Chief Tony Crisp said Saturday.

In the meantime, a U.S. Secret Service spokesperson confirmed to ABC News that Vance was in the motorcade.
