The Belarusian National Soccer Team Is Stuck At The Polish Border

The soccer players have been on the road for 18 hours.

The national team of Belarus faced a serious delay in traveling to the match of World Cup-2026 qualification against Denmark.

Belarus failed to fly to Copenhagen according to the schedule. The day before, at 20:00 Minsk time, the team went by bus to Warsaw - the transportation was pre-ordered by ABFF. Passing the Belarusian border took about an hour and a half.

Once the team spent more than 12 hours on the neutral strip and passing the Polish border checkpoint. The reasons for this delay have not yet been specified. Because of this, the ABFF had to urgently coordinate the change of departure time of the charter flight "Warsaw - Copenhagen", which was ordered in advance to simplify logistics.

The national team was originally supposed to depart via Vilnius, from where a charter was also planned. But the route was changed after Lithuania completely closed the border with Belarus from October 29, 2025.

As a result, the travel time of the national team has already exceeded 18 hours, and the players still have to get to Warsaw, and then fly to Copenhagen.

Despite the delay, the pre-match program remains unchanged: the press conference is scheduled for 19:30, and training at the stadium "Parken" - at 20:00.
