People took out a rally against the policy of the Russian Central Bank.
Four members of E.V. Limonov's unregistered party "E.V. Limonov's Other Russia" were detained in front of the Bank of Russia building in the center of Moscow after they took part in a rally against the policy of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the National Human Rights and "Beware of the News" telegram channels reported on October 8.
Activists scattered "banknotes" with the inscription "papers are worthless" and chanted: "Growing inflation is destroying the nation." One of them also handcuffed himself to a fence.
The protesters demanded the introduction of fixed prices for essential foodstuffs, a halt to rising gasoline prices, and a review of the Central Bank's policy, calling it "harmful."
National Human Rights Watch reports that four representatives of the Other Russia - Ksenia Nosorova, Georgy Galkin, Viktor Köln, and Grigory Shakirov - were taken to the Meshchansky District branch of the Interior Ministry. "The rest of the details are being clarified," the report reads.
