Russia Plans To Increase Supplies Of Belarusian Gasoline Sixfold

Lukashenko puts Belarusian oil refineries under the attack of the AFU.

The simplest step, which, as the Russian government thinks, will help to eliminate the growing shortage of fuel in the Russian market, is to increase its supply from Belarus.

Vice Prime Minister Alexander Novak proposed to increase supplies of Belarusian gasoline to Russia from 45 thousand to 300 thousand tons per month in October. This follows from Mr. Novak's appeal to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, which was read by "Kommersant".

The deputy prime minister proposed to increase its imports through the uninterrupted operation of the Transneft system and the launch of toll processing.

Other initiatives include allowing the use of monomethylaniline, an octane-boosting additive banned since 2016, for six months. It is used for detonation resistance of gasoline and can increase the volume of the product on the market by 50,000 tons per month.

Alexander Novak also proposed to zero import duties on gasoline imports from China, South Korea and Singapore.

September 30, the Russian government extended a temporary ban on gasoline exports. It will now be in effect until December 31, 2025 for all exporters. The Cabinet of Ministers also imposed a new ban on the export abroad of diesel fuel, marine fuel and other gas oils. This measure is valid until the end of the year. At the same time, the exception is direct supplies made by direct fuel producers.
