Who built this property

The house now for sale looks similar to the one that was built, as "Nasha Niva" wrote in 2013, by former Prime Minister of Belarus Gennady Novitsky. As noted, the official took a soft loan for this purpose.

According to the National Cadastral Agency, provided to "Nasha Niva" in 2013, Novitsky took the money at half of the refinancing rate - at that time 5.5%. According to the agreement, it had to be repaid by 2018. Such large loans were not granted to people of pre-retirement age, but an exception was made for Novitsky.

The size of the house, which was described in the press in 2013, is almost identical to the area of the cottage currently for sale (almost 550 "squares" versus 757).

And this is what the house now for sale looks like.

Gennady Novitsky took over as premier in October 2001. He was a civil engineer by education and made a career in the party organs. Under Lukashenko he was Minister of Architecture, then Deputy Prime Minister.

Novitsky didn't stay as Prime Minister for long. The reason for his resignation was a major scandal with "additions" in agriculture: it turned out that the agrarians had not been paid wages and had not settled with them for the delivered products. Lukashenko threatened all the guilty with terrible punishment - and on July 10, 2003 Novitsky was dismissed from the post of prime minister.

Lukashenko then appointed the scandalized official as chairman of the Council of the Republic. He was later demoted to a member of the so-called Council of the Republic.

After leaving this state structure, the former prime minister led a non-public life. He rarely spoke to the press and did not appear at diplomatic receptions.

He reportedly had job offers, but Novitsky deliberately retired at the age of 65. It is not known what Novitsky's future fate was.

By the way, already being a pensioner, Novitsky threw a phrase: "I have seen all those Politburo members, who were almost taken to the podium by hand, and I believe that you should leave any position in time.
