Kasparov Defeated Anand In The Exhibition Match Of Clutch Chess

The grandmasters met at the St. Louis Chess Club.

The 13th world chess champion, one of the leaders of the Russian opposition Garry Kasparov outplayed the outstanding Vishwanathan Anand in an exhibition match of Clutch Chess, writes "Championship".

Grossmasters met at the St. Louis Chess Club, and the format of the competition provided for the growth of points and prize money from round to round.

The total prize fund of the match was 144 thousand dollars, of which 70 thousand received the winner, and 50 - the loser. The match ended with a score of 13:11 in Kasparov's favor.

It should be noted that the media dubbed this match a "repeat" of the 1995 game - then Kasparov defended his PCA world title against the Indian grandmaster and won with a score of 10.5:7.5.
