‘Russia’s Professional Army Has Been Destroyed’

In the Toretsk direction, battles for individual areas can last up to a month, while Russia has almost completely lost its professional army during the war against Ukraine. This was reported by a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yevhen Ievlev, on the air of the Espresso TV channel.

He noted that the situation near Toretsk remains difficult, the enemy continues active assaults, trying to displace the Ukrainian defenders from their positions.

“I don't really like the myths that the enemy is useless, but regarding the professional army, the enemy has almost lost its professional army. However, the point is not whether they are professional or not, elite or not elite. The point is that there are enough of them,” Ievlev emphasized.

Ievlev also added that in this direction, the Russians no longer make the same mistakes as before in Avdiivka, when they threw groups of 50-70 people into assaults.

“The Russians are constantly crawling at night, trying to enter the forest in small groups of up to 10 people and trying to dig in,” he points out.

According to him, the battle for individual areas can last up to a month, as is happening with one of the forests, for which fighting has already been going on for a month.

“That is, it is not a matter of quality and elitism, but that, unfortunately, the enemy does not have a shortage of personnel,” noted Ievlev.
