Belarus Experiences Unprecedented Personnel Shortage

A new anti-record has been set.

The shortage of personnel is growing in Belarus. As of September 19, the country as a whole needs 164.2 thousand workers. This is the number of offers from employers posted in the national vacancy bank. The situation is worst in Minsk, writes Zerkalo.

As of September 19, 164,218 offers from employers were posted in the national vacancy bank at the time of publication of this text. This is an anti-record. For comparison: as of August 31, the country as a whole lacked almost 161.7 thousand workers.

Currently, the largest number of workers is needed in Minsk — almost 39.9 thousand. For example, the Minsk region offers almost 26.4 thousand vacancies, the Vitsebsk region — 19.1 thousand.

In general, 65.2 thousand vacancies in the country offer a salary of up to 1,000 rubles. 11.3 thousand ads promise to pay from 2,000 rubles. As a rule, employers indicate amounts before deduction of taxes.
