Reuters: India Sends Shells To Ukraine Despite Moscow's Protests

The Kremlin is unable to influence the situation.

For more than a year, Indian manufacturers have been redirecting artillery shells to European buyers in Ukraine, which has caused protests from the aggressor country Russia. According to Reuters, the Kremlin has raised this issue at least twice during meetings with Indian counterparts, but to no avail.

Among the leaders of the initiative to supply shells to Kyiv outside the EU are Italy and the Czech Republic. The Indian government is monitoring this, but is not taking any action to limit these supplies.

It is obvious that the inaction of the Moscow-friendly Indian government has puzzled the Kremlin. Russia, which supplies more than 60% of Delhi's arms imports, is a valuable partner for India.

That is why Russian Minister Lavrov complained about the supply of Indian ammunition produced by Delhi's state-owned companies, which is used by Ukraine.

However, it is advantageous for India to allegedly remain outside the process of supplying Ukraine with shells, because, according to Walter Ladwig, an expert on South Asian security at King's College London, this allows it to show the West that Delhi is allegedly no longer on the side of the aggressor Russia.
