Defence Express: AFU Begin Second Phase Of Operation In Kursk Region

Sergiy Zgurets, director of the information and consulting company of Defence Express, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have started the second phase of the operation in Kursk region.
‘During the month the Russians have really accumulated forces and started to carry out counterattack actions in Kursk region. Now we are at this interesting stage, when our troops are conducting, as it seems to me, the second phase of the operation in Kursk region, responding to the Russian offensive. The enemy, using the most prepared units, has approached and captured the village of Snagost, and in some areas has started to advance. I would highlight one settlement to the east of Snagost - Lyubimovka, which lies 5 kilometres from the road from Korenevo to Sudzha. This is a logistical route, which we also use to hold our units. Now the enemy wants to break through to this route, so he has concentrated significant forces there,' he noted on the air of Espresso.
According to him, when the Russians began their assaults, the AFU conducted counter-offensives. Now the Defence Forces are advancing at least three areas - Glushkovo district, just west of the Korenevo - Snagost section. We are talking about the settlements of Veseloye, Medvezhye - they are the entry to the rear of that grouping of Russians, which is carrying out the offensive along this section.
‘Now is such an important moment when the enemy is trying to hold our advance without additional reserves and complicate our logistics. And we are the opposite - we are creating significant threats for the enemy in this section, using our potential. This means that the situation here will be quite dynamic. We have the forces and means that allow us to continue surprising the invader, and on the other hand - to put him at a severe disadvantage in this section of the front,’ Zgurets summarised.
