The Hrodna Azot plant plans to launch the nitric acid and compression production on September 12. This was reported on the enterprise's Telegram channel.

The launch of the nitric acid and compression department will temporarily lead to an increase in the concentration of nitrogen oxide in emissions, which will give the gases a characteristic red-brown tint, the enterprise warned.

But they assure that there is no need to worry about this: "The permissible emission of pollutants in exhaust gases is regulated by a comprehensive environmental permit issued by the territorial body of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection."
