Fires broke out in Moscow region, flights were cancelled.
On the night of September 10, it was reported in Russia about the attack of UAVs on Moscow and Moscow region. Thus, the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin announced about the alleged defeat of a drone by the Russian air defence forces at 02:33 a.m. Kyiv time.
‘The Defence Ministry's air defence forces repelled an attack by a drone flying towards Moscow in Lyubertsy municipal district. There is no destruction or casualties at the site of the falling debris, according to preliminary data,’ the official said.
Later, Sobyanin said that the UAV attack continued. According to him, the drones were shot down in Ramenskoye municipal district, Podolsk municipal district, Domodedovo municipal district and Kolomna municipal district.
‘While repelling the attack in the town of Ramenskoye, the fire broke out at the level of 11-12 floors of a residential building, the emergency services are working. Also the consequences of falling debris from a downed UAV in the area of the airport Zhukovsky are being eliminated,' wrote the Moscow mayor at 05:03 am Kyiv time.
At the same time, Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov confirmed that apartment blocks in Ramenskoye were hit during the overnight UAV attack. Flats in the area of 11-12 floors are burning along Sportivniy proezd.
‘Now firefighters are putting out the fire. Ambulance and intensive care units are on duty outside the house,’ he wrote.
He also said that another UAV hit a house in Vysokovoltnaya Street. As a result, a flat on the 9th floor was damaged.
‘In total, this night the air defence forces shot down 14 drones in the municipal districts of Podolsk, Ramenskoye, Lyubertsy, Domodedovo and Kolomna,’ he said.
