There is a significant moment in the Ukrainian operation.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been operating in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation for a week now. The lightning invasion of Ukrainian troops exceeded many expectations.
What are the main conclusions to be drawn after 7 days of the raid of the Ukrainian army? Charter97.org spoke about this with Boryslav Bereza, Ukrainian politician, former member of the Verkhovna Rada:
— We see that Russia has absolutely no borders, the Russians do not control their border. The Kremlin has moved all its troops into Ukraine, so it shows its weakness. In addition, Putin has shown that to date he cannot oppose anything to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for several reasons. First, there are no troops inside Russia, and local residents have no motivation to resist.
You remember what resistance there was to the invaders when the Russians came to Ukraine. And now, when the Ukrainian military enter Russian settlements, they are greeted, supported and even rat the Kadyrovites with great pleasure. This says only one thing — the support of the regime rests only on financial injections, and there was no real patriotism.
There is another illustrative point — Putin, who said that it was necessary to attack Ukraine, eventually led the war to Russia. He became the first leader of Russia since the Second World War, who led to the fact that Russia lost part of its territories.
— Putin set one of the goals of the so-called SVO — the demilitarization of Ukraine, and now he is withdrawing troops from the Kaliningrad region to protect the Kursk region. So, has Ukraine demilitarized the Russian Federation?
— Yes, moreover, troops are being withdrawn not only from Kaliningrad. Troops are withdrawn from Mozdok, troops are withdrawn from Dagestan, even internal troops have been withdrawn from under Makhachkala, which are now being transferred to the Kursk region. It turns out an interesting situation in the Kursk region, now it should be defended by cops, FSB officers, conscripts and part of the troops who are transferred from other units and, most likely, have never fought.
It is expected that the next "meat" will be thrown against Ukraine, but it will be destroyed. Putin needs to restrain the Ukrainian offensive, and Ukraine needs him to withdraw troops from the front and transfer them to another place, or even end the hostilities.
— What processes within the Russian Federation is the AFU operation launching in the Kursk region?
— Unfortunately, now it is difficult to assess this, it is necessary to withstand a certain time for this. But now we can say that a huge number of Russians themselves suddenly learned that the war came to their home thanks to Putin.
It hadn't happened before, so they had a question: "What's going on? Why did Putin say that Russia is a superpower, the strongest country in the world, but it suddenly loses its territories?". Did this happen before February 24, 2022? The Russians began to give themselves answers that this did not happen.
Putin, perceived by them as Akela, who cannot make a mistake, suddenly made a mistake. And this is once again. Since Akela missed, soon a large number of the population will begin to think that Akela needs to be changed.
