Is Russia on the brink of disaster?
Putin signed a decree according to which the Russians who join the ranks of the occupation army will now be paid not 200,000 but 400,000 Russian rubles.
What is behind such a sharp increase in payments to volunteers of the Russian army? Charter97.org spoke about this with Boryslav Bereza, Ukrainian politician, former member of the Verkhovna Rada:
— I want to remind you that Russian propaganda actively tells how well they are doing and that there are no problems with recruitment into the army. But the information about these payments just debunks this lie, it turns out that not everything is as it looks. If you pay 200,000 rubles, why do you need to double these payments? Only if the "meat" suddenly began to think that it was simply disposed of, and the chances of spending this money were very minimal.
Here there is a very interesting situation — in fact, those who were ready to die for the "Russian world" for those 200,000, just ended. They are looking for those who are ready to die for 400,000, and sometimes more. The fact is that Putin's needs for "cannon fodder" are not decreasing, but growing, the Russians have very large losses at the front. At the same time, ambitions have not gone away, and the only method that Putin uses, "meat assaults", they are effective. In fact, the Russians are simply filling up the Ukrainian positions with "meat".
But the "meat" is not endless, so they began to pay much more to motivate this "meat". The average Russian woman will think: "Wow, I actually have such funding, and my man will die, so there will be more money than he will earn for the rest of his life." Therefore, they begin to motivate their men to go to war.
In Russia, there is a cult of death, and the trade in lives is becoming nationwide, and it is good that we see such situations, but it is bad that there are still idiots who are ready to exchange their lives for 400,000 rubles. You see, Putin will not stop, he has already killed about half a million Russians in the name of his ambitions.
But the citizens of the Russian Federation should realize whether they are ready to go for their own disposal in the name of Putin's ambitions. Therefore, what we see is a catastrophe for Russia, but, unfortunately, it is also a problem for Ukraine. The fact that the Russians are dying does not bother me much, but at the same time the Ukrainians, whom these Russians are killing, are also dying.
— Recently, we hear a lot of bad news for the Russian economy. This is what has happened in recent days: due to inflation, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation raised the central rate, China blocked 80% of payments to Russia in yuan, Turkey's exports to the Russian Federation fell by a third, and Gazprom's losses almost doubled. Should we hope that the economy will not allow Russia to continue the war?
— So that the Russian economy collapses overnight and now, this will not happen. But the fact that they will have a sharp decline in the next six months is true. Russia is actually reaching a plateau, which means that they will have no further opportunities.
That is why Putin has now intensified his efforts to achieve a truce, he needs a pause, but he calls the most important condition not even the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops, not limiting the possibilities of Ukraine's advancement into NATO or the EU. No, he is interested in the lifting of sanctions, because without it, the Russian economy will absolutely go to a deadly peak, from which it is unlikely to get out.
Putin understands this, he is already trying to prepare the conditions so that the Russian economy does not receive a catastrophic blow, and he will be in the relatively near future. At the same time, it is not necessary to discount the fact that Russia still manages to sell its energy resources.
If this sale had stopped, then the Russian Federation would have collapsed extremely quickly, even within a year we would have seen a devastating effect on the Russian economy. Cheap oil and cheap gas, which Russia sells at a big discount, are still attractive to many people who do not care that Russia then kills Ukrainians for this money.
— Putin has always used a bluff in his policy. How much does Russia really have a large margin of safety and the ability to continue the war, and how much of all this is Putin's notorious bluff?
— Look, this is not a bluff, he is ready to kill citizens of the Russian Federation further to realize his ambitions, this is the first thing. Secondly, if Putin stops the war now, he will be asked what the Russians died for. Most likely, this will lead to the collapse of his regime, he is aware of this. Therefore, war for Putin is a matter of his personal security, survival and the ability to rule further.
Putin is a classic scumbag who does not care about everyone around him, he is as much a scoundrel as Lukashenka. His only personal interests are the main thing for him, personal ambitions and the personal filling of his pockets.
