Belarusian Officials Complain About Singer Agurbash

The head of Lukashenka's administration is peaching against the actress.

The former ambassador of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Dzmitry Krutoi, and now the head of the Lukashenka administration, continues to persecute the singer Angelica Agurbash: now he has demanded to exclude her from the Public Chamber of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region, SOTA reports.

A similar demand of Krutoi, sent to Channel One in early April, was reported earlier: then the ambassador sought from the head of the channel Konstantin Ernst to remove Agurbash from the air. The ambassador said her appearance on Russian television was a “planned provocation” aimed at “undermining the efforts of our leaders to rewrite history.” Agurbash was shown on the air about the children's music contest "Golden Note" on the day of the celebration of the creation of the "Union State".

The reason for the persecution of Agurbash by the Lukashenka regime is that she supported the 2020 protests, after which she was arrested in absentia on charges of inciting hatred and insulting Lukashenka. At the same time, the singer has Russian citizenship.

Krutoy addressed a new demand for persecution of Agurbash to the head of the Civic Chamber of the Moscow-area, Anatoly Torkunov. According to the ambassador, the basis for excluding the singer from the area should be the "allied relations" of the Russian and Belarusian regimes.

It should be noted that such letters, according to sources in the Belarusian embassy, are regularly sent by Krutoi not only against Agurbash, but also to other opponents of Lukashenka living in Russia.
