Orban's Main Rival Goes To Kyiv

The leader of the Hungarian opposition is collecting money for a hospital bombed by the Russians.

The leader of the Hungarian opposition party Tisza, Péter Magyar, announced a fundraising of humanitarian aid for Ukrainian children and is preparing to go to Kyiv with a shipment of medical equipment.

He wrote about this on his Facebook.

Péter Magyar said that the next morning he would go to Kyiv as a representative of his political force and the Hungarian people, because “he cannot act otherwise as a father” after the footage of the strike on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital.

“With the support of the Medspot Foundation, we will distribute significant amounts of medical equipment to local Ukrainian hospitals with the greatest needs. Personally, as an individual, I transfer 1 million forints (about 2,500 euros) to the fund,” he noted.

He called on Hungarians who want to join to bring small medical equipment, baby food, canned food and cereals purchased with their own funds to a designated collection point, or make a financial transfer to a fund for the purchase of equipment.
