In the afternoon of July 8, the aggressor country Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a threat to Kyiv, Cherkassy, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Donetsk regions.

One of the strikes hit the building of a children's hospital in Kyiv.

The mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, said three people were injured, one of them in hospital.

"We are verifying information about one dead," the mayor noted.

He also indicated that there was a fly-in at the premises of the children's hospital.

"Suspilne" with reference to its correspondents reports that we are talking about the National children's specialised hospital of "Okhmatdet".

It should be noted that the head of the Belarusian KGB Ivan Tsertsel suggested hitting children's hospitals in Kyiv. The Belarusian chekist had allegedly found "mercenaries" in them.
