US Journalist Quits After Interview With Biden

The host of the WURD radio station in Philadelphia Andrea Lawful-Sanders quit after interviewing US President Joe Biden, where she asked questions provided by his campaign headquarters. CNN reports that.

In a statement, president and radio station CEO Sarah Lomax said the host organised and coordinated the interview "without the knowledge, consultation or cooperation of WURD management".

"The interview included predetermined questions provided by the White House, which violates our practice of remaining an independent media outlet accountable to our listeners. As a result, Ms Lawful-Sanders and WURD Radio have mutually agreed to part ways, with the decision effective immediately," Lomax said.
