Russia Attacked Ukraine Through Territory Of Belarus

The occupiers' drone flew through our airspace.

Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channels associated with the air defense services of Ukraine reported on the night of June 5 about the use of Belarusian territory for a drone strike.

The Ukrainian Raccoon Telegram channel reported on July 5 at 0:27 (Kyiv and Minsk time are the same) about Russian drones approaching the Ukrainian-Belarusian border:

“We do not rule out that they will transit along the old railway line to the Chernobyl exclusion zone through the Homel region of Belarus.”

The War Monitor monitoring Telegram channel reported the drone's flight at 0:35:

“In the North, a group of UAVs continues to move west through the Kyiv region. The first UAV crossed the Brahin district of Belarus via Vyaloye-Posudovo (probably referring to the resettled villages of Velmau and Posudava in the Brahin district) and is moving further west through the territory of Ukraine. The main number of UAVs are in the Chernihiv region. Western course.”

Later, in a comment to Flagstock, the Ukrainian Raccoon channel specified what the territory of Belarus was used for this time:

“Again transit through Belarus, this time Shahed-136/131 UAVs were flying. One definitely passed through Belarus, the other two were flying in that direction, but did not cross the border.”

In the morning report, commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk thanked the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces for the 100% result: 32 out of 32 Russian Shaheds were destroyed.

On June 24, 2024, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense stated that “any unidentified aircraft that violates the state border of Belarus will be destroyed.”
