Fire Broke Out At Military Training Ground In Poland

The flames covered five hectares.

On Friday, June 28, a fire broke out at the Zagan military training ground in the Lubusz Voivodeship in southwestern Poland. The flames covered five hectares.

This was reported by the Polish publication Onet.

The military fire brigade and the State Fire Service arrived at the scene of the fire. In addition, helicopters were brought in to extinguish it.

Polish firefighters believe that the fire was probably caused by military exercises taking place at the training ground.

The fire covered five hectares. The situation is considered under control, but additional forces may be brought in to contain the flames.

On June 10, in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in southern Poland, an explosion occurred and a fire broke out at the Mesko plant, where ammunition is manufactured. Earlier, Polish authorities said they saw no evidence in the incident of “external forces” being involved in the explosion.
