AFU Counterattack, Knock Russians Out Of 'Channel' Microdistrict In Chasiv Yar

The occupants have been pushed back in one more area.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to counterattack the Russians near the town of Chasiv Yar in the Pokrovsky direction. They managed to knock out the Russian Armed Forces from the "Channel" microdistrict on the outskirts of the town. This is reported by the German edition of BILD.

As the analyst of the edition Julian Röpke explains, the fighting for the town has been going on for several months. The settlement is located on the hills and it is separated from the RF Armed Forces by the Seversky Donets - Donbass channel, in the east behind the channel there is a residential neighbourhood of "Channel".

"Earlier the RF Armed Forces tried to bypass it from the flanks and attack it directly. They managed to occupy the destroyed buildings for a while. But now the AFU counterattacked and knocked the Russians out of there. "The Ukrainian army has recaptured several streets in the Channel microdistrict in Chasiv Yar," Julian Röpke, an expert in open data analysis at BILD, said.

He also added that the occupiers' plans also failed in Kalynivka, which is north of the "Channel" microdistrict. Earlier, the Russians managed to capture the settlement and approached the Seversky Donets-Donbass channel, but then the Defence Forces pushed them back from there.
