Employees of the State Control Committee and the Department of Financial Investigations came to inspect Paritetbank. This was reported by the press service of the State Control Committee.

“During the inspection, issues of compliance with the law in the implementation of banking operations of the bank's clients will be considered,” the statement said.

In particular, they will check how the bank uses profits, its operations with non-residents of Belarus, as well as the organization of the corporate governance system and work with citizens' appeals.

It should be noted that Paritetbank is a Belarusian joint-stock commercial bank. It was founded in 1991 under the name of the commercial bank Poisk and received its current name in 2004. Until 2018, the bank belonged to the Aliaksandr Lukashenka Property Management Department, after which it was transferred to the State Property Committee. In 2020, the bank's owner became the Cypriot structure of the son of Russian oligarch Mikhail Gutseriev, Said Gutseriev, Beristore Holdings Limited. After the introduction of sanctions, Said Gutseriev sold the bank to Russian businessman Rasim Ismailov.
