Britain Handing Ukraine Record Military Aid Package To Ukraine

The UK will transfer a record package of military aid to Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the country's government.

It is reported that additional funding of 500 million pounds will be allocated. Thus, London will allocate to help Ukraine £ 3 billion this year.

As noted in the government, the UK will send the largest batch of military aid to Ukraine. The new package will include:

60 boats, including raiding and diving vessels, as well as naval guns.

More than 1,600 strike and air defence missiles, as well as Storm Shadow long-range precision missiles.

More than 400 pieces of equipment, including 160 Husky vehicles, 162 armoured vehicles and 78 all-terrain vehicles.

About 4 million rounds of small arms ammunition.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said defending Ukraine is important for the security of Britain and the rest of Europe.

"If Putin is allowed to succeed in this war of aggression, he will not stop at the Polish border," he said.

In addition, UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps said his country was the first to provide Ukraine with NLAW, advanced tanks and long-range missiles.

"This record-breaking military aid package will give President Zelensky and his brave nation a chance," he said.
