Waldemar Skrzypczak: The U.S. Decision Points To Two Important Directions For Further Warfare

American weapons are probably already coming to Ukraine.

The decision to approve a new package of assistance to Ukraine, the transfer of support has already begun. After the decision to allocate an aid package to Ukraine in the U.S. House of Representatives, the first sets of weapons were sent to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports, citing a comment by a military expert, former commander of the Polish Land Forces, former Deputy Minister of National Defence of Poland Waldemar Skrzypczak.

The expert believes that assistance is already underway, although no one knows the details of these supplies. This causes not only concern but also fear of Russia, since Ukraine will receive the necessary resources to change the situation.

Waldemar Skrzypczak says that this assistance was very late and was provided with a delay of 6 months, but the Ukrainian army, despite the lack of such assistance, was able to show its courage and ability to defend the country even in such incredibly difficult conditions.

According to the expert, this assistance points to two important directions in the development of the war. First, the Ukrainian army receives the necessary support, and second, the United States is returning to a leading position in coordinating the "Ukrainian coalition" of countries that help protect a sovereign state from an aggressive attack.

In essence, Russian authoritarianism used democracy as a way to inhibit support. However, now the situation may have a new direction, and that is why Russia is beginning to get nervous, and most importantly, to look for ways to protect itself from the unexpected step of the United States.

What exactly can soon happen at the front?

According to Waldemar Skrzypczak, there may already be ammunition on the way to the Ukrainian forces, which is the most necessary component on the battlefield. All other items may be added soon.

The most important support is shells for 155 mm artillery systems and missiles for HIMARS of short and long range. An important element is the complete set of air defence and ammunition for air defence forces, which should protect troops and civilians.

General Waldemar Skrzypczak is one of the most famous military in Poland, a three-star general and a high authority as a specialist in Poland and abroad. He commanded a Polish division in Iraq and was the commander of the ground forces.

The House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress earlier adopted the H.R. 8035 - Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024. It provides $60 billion. 311 members of the House of Representatives voted for the required number of votes for adoption of no more than 218 votes.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal noted that thanks to assistance of the U.S., Ukraine will receive an important resource for victory and recovery. He thanked the representatives of the Republican and Democratic parties for voting for an aid package for Ukraine in Congress.

Shmyhal recalled that the assistance package provides for $61 billion, of which $49.9 billion is provided for defence spending, $7.8 billion is provided in support of the budget, economic assistance will amount to $1.57 billion, and another $400 million will be allocated as part of the package for humanitarian demining and border protection.
