Financial Advisor Detained Upon Return From Poland To Belarus

He faces up to 12 years in prison.

Uladzimir Nikitsin is 46 years old. He is a Minsk resident, in 2000 he graduated from the Belarusian State Economic University with a degree in Sales Management, writes nashaniva.com.

In 2009, Uladzimir entered the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration for a master's degree in finance. He graduated in May 2011.

The man began his career as a financial analyst at VDS in 2004. Uladzimir also led training and educational courses on financial management for companies.

The man's last known job is as a financial controller at Belkanton Group, a large stationery distributor that owns, among other things, the Ofiston chain of stores and Office Life magazine.

Judging by his LinkedIn page, no later than July 2023, Uladzimir resigned and moved to Poland. He was probably detained upon his return to Belarus.

The activities of Volodymyr's sole proprietor have been suspended since November 5, 2023.

The date of the man's detention is unknown. The trial of Uladzimir will begin on April 29 in the Minsk City Court. For "calls for sanctions", a man faces from four to twelve years in prison. The essence of the accusation is unknown.
