Dear friends, the time has come for us to ask for your help.

In a free media market, Charter'97 could support itself through advertising. But today we have to work from exile, fighting the blockade to bring you the truth.

For more than 25 years, our website has been working 16 hours a day (and around the clock during important events), 7 days a week, to counter the propaganda of Lukashenka and Putin. However, the funds allocated by European donors to support independent media in Belarus are woefully inadequate. The number of foundations working with Belarus is also decreasing.

That is why we have to ask you, our readers, for help.

Why are we offering you this kind of partnership? Regular and round-the-clock support is crucial to our work. It's hard to develop and hire new people when your planning horizon is one or two months.
