VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY

The details.

On Monday, April 15, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky replaced the Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. As nv.ua writes, this is evidenced by documents published by the website of the President’s Office.

Zelensky, by decree #228, dismissed Oleksiy Solovyov from the post of deputy chairman of the National Security and Defense Council and, by decree #229, appointed Andriy Kononenko in his place.

Dismissal of Oleksiy Danilov

On March 26, Zelensky fired Danilov from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and appointed in his place Oleksandr Lytvynenko, whom he had previously fired from the post of head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. The FIS will now be headed by Oleh Ivashchenko.

Danilov was the 13th Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and held this position since October 3, 2019.

On March 29, Zelensky announced in his evening address the appointment of Danilov as ambassador to Moldova.

Zelensky also made changes to the composition of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Thus, Oleksandr Lytvynenko was approved as the Headquarters coordinator, and Danilov was removed from its composition.
