Zelensky: AFU Losses Are Much Less Than American Media Report

The US media report that Ukraine has lost 80 thousand military men at the front. However, this information does not correspond to reality. The number of dead Ukrainian defenders is much less.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview for Kyodo News.

‘Some of the American media recently provided information that 80 thousand Ukrainians have been killed. But I want to tell you that no, there are fewer. Much fewer,’ said Zelensky.

At the same time, he noted that it is still unknown exactly how many Ukrainians have died in the temporarily occupied territories.

‘During the occupation there were both civilians, and military, and law enforcement officers, etc. And how many of them died, how many were lost, how many were tortured in captivity and so on.... I don't know here. So I'm only talking about fixing the military, which are on our territory, which are controlled by us,’ added the President of Ukraine.
