In the plane crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed on December 25 in Kazakhstan, Ukrainian pilot Oleksandr Kalyaninov, who studied at the Kropyvnytskyi Flight Academy, died. This was reported on the Facebook page of the educational institution.
It is noted that since childhood, Kalyaninov aspired to become a pilot, like his father, and to connect his life with aviation. In 2021, he received a master's degree in aviation transport from the Ukrainian State Flight Academy (then the Flight Academy of the National Aviation University).
The man studied at the Faculty of Flight Operations under the program “Flight Operation of Aircraft” and received the qualifications of a pilot engineer and research engineer.
“Oleksandr was very smart, intelligent, spoke several foreign languages fluently, was very honest and was always ready to help. During the plane crash, risking his own life, he saved dozens of lives in the line of duty,” the academy wrote.
