It turned out that not everything is so simple.
Schools do not have the right to collect data on students' plans for the holidays. Filling out such questionnaires was taking place in schools for some time after 2020. However, as it turned out, this is not entirely legal, writes Nasha Niva.
The National Center for Personal Data Protection worked on this issue with the Ministry of Education. The center stated that schools cannot collect questionnaires containing information about the whereabouts of schoolchildren during the holidays, including the last name, first name, patronymic, degree of kinship and contact information of the people with whom the child is during the holidays.
A school can collect such information only in certain cases, which are prescribed by law. For example, if a child has the status of being in a socially dangerous situation.
At the same time, it is not specified whether schools can collect data on how children spent their holidays, that is, after the fact.
