On the night of December 22, unknown drones attacked the Oryol region in Russia. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the region.
RBC-Ukraine reported this citing Russian Telegram channels.
Local residents speak about 10-12 explosions were heard over Oryol at night. They also reported that they observed bright flashes on the city's outskirts. Later, footage of the fire began to spread online, allegedly showing a fire at an oil refinery.
A short time later, Oryol Region Governor Andrei Klychkov confirmed that the region had been attacked by drones. He added that a fire broke out at a fuel infrastructure facility in the village of Stalnoy Kon in the Oryol Municipal District as a result of the attack.
“Please remain calm, the attack is still ongoing. At the moment, there is no information about victims or injured people; emergency services are already working at the scene of the incident, and measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of the fire,” Klychkov added.
