Who will not be allowed to withdraw more than 995 rubles?

Belarusbank reported that from December 20, it has amended the rules for servicing bank cards issued outside of Belarus. The bank has also introduced new restrictions for Belarusians who want to deposit money into an account through an information kiosk, Telegraf reports.

Now Belarusbank ATMs will not issue more than 995 rubles within one month if the card was issued outside of Belarus. To withdraw more money, you will have to take your passport and go to the nearest Belarusbank branch. However, it is much easier to use the ATMs of another bank.

Deposit money only with a passport?

Belarusbank has also prohibited Belarusians from depositing money onto bank cards at ATMs and information kiosks, unless this is done using a personalized bank card.

“Depositing cash through ATMs, information kiosks for replenishing accounts of individuals, including through ERIP, is possible only with the use of a card that requires identification of its holder. This operation can be performed at the bank's cash desks using a card, as well as upon presentation of an identity document,” explained Belarusbank.
