Lukashenka was ridiculed for it.
The Belarusian army received a “domestic analogue of the Starlink system”. This is the name of the mobile communications complex “Kulisa” developed in Belarus for the military.
TASS cites a response from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus that this complex “has already entered service and is being used in formations and military units of the Armed Forces.”
Lukashenka's “analogue of Starlink” was shown on October 6, 2023. The military said that in addition to communications, the system provides remote access to the Internet.
“So you did what Musk did for billions of dollars, but for free?” Lukashenka asked.
The Belarusian military specialist clarified:
“Well, not for free, but for very little money.”
Belarusians then ridiculed Lukashenka's reaction to the “analogue of Starlink” in the comments.
