Powerful explosions tear apart the target.
The first video of the moment of hitting a target in Kursk region, attacked by a group of cruise missiles Storm Shadow appeared on the Internet, reports ‘Dialogue.UA’.
The objective control footage, taken with the help of a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone, shows precise hits on the location of the Russian military. In total, about 10 missiles were fired.
The location of the target is confirmed: it is the village of Maryino in Rylsk district, not far from the sanatorium of the Russian Presidential Administration. According to the incoming information, the headquarters of the Russian army, which supervised the Russian offensive in Kursk region, was located there.
‘I think details on this strike will emerge more widely in the near future. After all, such a salvo was fired for a reason,’ Ukrainian military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko commented on the video.
The attack followed Ukraine's first use of US long-range ATACMS missiles on Russian territory on Tuesday after authorisation from US President Joe Biden.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who authorised the use of the missiles on Russia, earlier said the international community should redouble its support for Kyiv, pointing to the deployment of North Korean troops alongside Russian troops as a serious escalation.
